My 44th year, which has officially concluded as of today, turned out pretty good.
I thought it was going to royally suck… and it did until about the middle of May when everything changed. After that it got really, really busy but also really, really good.
I’m very thankful. Even hopeful at this point, despite the fact that this is the view out my window right now…

Happy birthday!
It’s beautiful outside! I wish we’d gotten this kind of weather a month ago, though…

Happy Birthday, a package should be going out to you within the next day or so.

Beth,
I just came inside. I blew as hard as I could, facing your way. Here’s hoping!
Craig,
You rule my world, dude.
Marissa,
That makes one of us 🙂

Happy Birthday! The white stuff may look pretty but, I wouldn’t want to be delivering 3 days worth of mail in it tomorrow. Yuck!

Thank you. And Happy Birthday to you!!! Old guy.
Ron,
Are you on tomorrow? I have to do two routes.

Yes I was and, it was a royal pain. I ended up working 11 hours and, I left 4 tubs of standard behind which is scary. I’d hate to think how long it would’ve taken if I’d taken all the mail.
You had to do 2 routes? Were they auxiliaries?

Yes they were aux routes. It took me nine hours, but I took everything.

Kudos to you for taking everything. There was no way I could’ve done that. I felt bad about it but, it just wasn’t possible. The Postmaster wanted everyone back around 6:30. I doubt it happened. At 6:15, they had city carriers that were still out and the evening supervisor had no idea where they were.

Thanks Ron. BUt it wasn’t anything special since I was on aux routes. If I had been on a full route, I probably would have left 3 or 4 tubs of flats… maybe more than that. They wanted us back by 5, as usual, even though it was the day after a monday holiday.

A very belated Happy Birthday, Jim! Glad the year turned out better than expected…having low expectations always helps, but it seems God pulled some strings for you along the way. As He should. 🙂
