The day started off with that grand postal service tradition, a major change of plans. Doug (R7) thought training Tina on his route wasn’t such a hot idea, though he was more than willing to do it. He suggested that maybe she learn R5 since she’s already delivered the big development on R5 more than once and she’s never touched R7. Ann and I thought this was a good idea, and this meant I got to train Tina on the monster route today.

She did an awesome job, finishing the first and hardest half of the route in just under 2 1/2 hours, and on a Monday too. For reference, the first time I did the route it took me about 4 1/2 hours to do what Tina did today.

We’ll see what happens on Thursday when she also has two days worth of mail but has to set the route up (I did that for her today… and should be available to give her quite a bit of help on Thursday as well).

This is all good for me since I get to do my primary route on Thursday and Friday instead of R5. Thank you Tina!
