Your regular carriers should be glad your Post Office is allowing you to do parcel runs. Upper management saw what it was costing us at our Post Office and said no more. The carriers will have to deliver their own parcels. And you are right, they do tend to stick you with the largest parcels. Another advantage of parcel runs is they are great for teaching new subs where various places are. They aren’t under the pressure they are when they deliver Express Mails. On parcel run, it’s not a big deal if you make a mistake trying to find the address. It is if you’re delivering Express Mails since you have so little time to deliver them and they MUST be delivered by Noon. Upper management won’t accept any excuses for late Express Mails in our region. A late Express Mail is an automatic letter of warning.
