We’re just back from the spring band concert at the middle school. Both daughters were involved in it.
The seventh and eighth grade band played Ashokan Farewell as one of their numbers. It was pretty good, though the daughter who is in that band said it wasn’t their best of the night, an opinion shared by my wife as well, but not by me.
Here’s a sample of Ashokan Farewell, played by the Brass Works Band. It’s a nice piece of music.
