Tonight’s dinner left a big mess in the kitchen. Okay, actually it was the cook that left the mess.
The dinner was…
- Cajun Shrimp: Take acuplapounza shrimp, spray with cooking spray, pour on some bayoo blast seasoning (we make it ourselves by mixing a variety of spices including cayenne, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and some kind of green stuff). Heat a cast iron pan to white hot on the grill and put some butter in it, then chuck in half the shrimp. Toss ’til done. Repeat.
- Serve the shrimp on a bed of homemade pasta (the recipe comes from Bugialli’s Fine Art of Italian Cooking) and sauteed baby bella mushrooms.
- Broccoli rabe sauteed at super high heat with olive oil, fresh garlic, salt and pepper.
And don’t forget your daily bread…
- Focaccia Bread (recipe loosely based on one found in Jeff Smith’s The Frugal Gourmet Cooks Italian); a family favorite.
*This post really just an excuse to use the new camera my wife bought: a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LZ7. We likes.
